What are parts, profiles, and units?
Stone Parts and Units.
These are the basic building blocks of cast stone. We manufacture cast stone parts that are assembled at the job site to form units. Parts are single pieces of stone. The profile is the basic shape of the part. A unit may be a single part, but more commonly is made of many. Generally we produce units for our customers, with all the parts included and carefully designed to fit together perfectly.

There are a wide selection of parts we make, below is an example of a profile and the most common parts we produce. We have a much larger selection of parts we can make, for situations such as a 45° turn or a finished end with the profile details on the end.

We don’t every part for every profile as a catalog item, tooling ready-made, but we can make just about anything.
There are some units that don’t use these part designs, like balustrade and pier caps, that aren’t a 2-D shape extruded into a long rectangular past. But many complicated units are made up of mostly extruded parts of different profiles, see the sample surround below.
